WORDING ETIQUETTE
Now that you've picked out your stationery, it's time to select the wedding invitation wording. Whether you want to keep the wording classic and traditional or creative and whimsical is up to you. But whatever wording you choose, there are still basic elements that should be included no matter what.
We have created a list of wedding invitation wording ideas for your convenience. You are welcome to select from the below or email us with your preference.
GIFT CARDS
Traditionally guests have given wedding gifts to the bride and groom to help them to leave their parents' homes and set up their new life together. Gifts such as bedding, kitchenware, decor and other household items were welcomed. Oh, how times have changed! Asking for a gift might seem a little awkward, but every wedding guest will expect to give a gift to celebrate your marriage.
Give them an idea for a wishing well, honeymoon registry or even a gift registry and at your favourite homewares store. These details should go on a seperate card to your invitation - either a gift card or a line or two on your information card.
WEDDING INVITATIONS
When it comes to the specific wording for your invitations, it can feel a little overwhelming.
Mixed families, divorced parent, or a widowed parent can make the formailites confusing.
I have put together a few formal invitation wording styles that may work for you.
If not - make up your own - it's your wedding invitation after all!
